I'm Still Here

For those of you who are wondering if I'm still alive, yes I'm still here.

The reason for my silence over the past week is that I'm testing and trying out new markets for the summer, as it has been very noticable that the volume in Bonds futures trading has really dried up. I've mentioned this several times in my previous posts. It seems traders are on the sidelines waiting for something to happen, or everybody is just on vacation. I tend to believe the latter, as this kind of inactivity is usually present in the stock market, in general. However, this is the first year that the Bond futures market seem to have been affected by the "summer doldrums".

Trading the Bond futures is still do-able, if you have an incredible amount of patience and if you like watching paint dry. That's not the case for me, and I sense it is time to explore other markets.

Stay tuned. I'll keep you posted.

  • Glad to see you're in the game. I took a 'extended' vacation, upgraded all the hardware here, built a new trading desk, etc...

Let's get em in August! Have you considered trading european bonds (bund, bobl, schatz) ?

The pivots are back online, let me know if you have a instrument that isn't on the other site that you want calced.. I'll probably start doing pivs on the euro stuff, because i will be shifting to that
